ADD VALUES OF CHECBOXES

I know how to add the value of check boxes but how do you keep the total field fom displaying 0 as the default value when the form is opened?

Hi,

If you select the total field, then go to the field tab, click the patterns button, select the display tab and then make sure that the "Allow zero" checkbox is selected, then a zero value will be displayed as spaces (or whatever is entered in the text box below the "Allow zero" checkbox.
