Acrobat cannot start adobe livecycle designer

I am trying to make a form out of a regular pdf.

I am using CS3 Design Premium, WIndows XP Home, and Acrobat 8 Professional 524289.3.0.

It seems to create the form ok in Acrobat, but get stuck at the point of trying to start Livecycle because Livecycle appears to not be installed.  I have a shortcut in my start menu that points to

"C:\Program Files\Adobe\Acrobat 8.0\Designer 8.0\FormDesigner.exe"

but it's not installed there.

So, I run the CS3 Design Premium installer again.

The box for Acrobat is unchecked and disabled.  So I can't choose to reinstall it. It says it is already installed.  And Acrobat does not appear on the screen for selecting things to uninstall.

How do I get Livecycle so I can make my form?

Please let me know if you have any ideas.

Thanks

I wrote too soon.

So the form seems to be done and functional.  I just had to click cancel before going to Livecycle.  Then I save it and work on it in Acrobat.  I don't know why Livecycle isn't installed correctly, or honestly, what Livecycle does that Acrobat doesn't.

Anyway, problem resolved.
