0 appears in the first field of a table

A zero appears in the first text field of my table. When I try to enter data and tab to the next field, the information is deleted and the zero stays. I deleted the first field and the zero automatically moved to the next text field. Any ideas as to why this happens and a possible fix?

Is this a field with some script?

The original information was copied from Excel and pasted into a table in Livecycle. There are simple calculation scripts (useing formcalc) ie this.rawValue = claim.rawValue + claim2.rawValue;. in other fields, however the first, second and third text fields have no scripts.
