Hi All, I am (today) New To Adobe Acrobat, Started yesterday actually.

I catch on quick.

Using Adobe Acrobat Pro 8 / LiveCycle Designer 8 on WinXP

and Reader Version 8

I am creating a 8-10 page doc. With lots of TextFields.

I will figure out how check that required fields are completed but I have one question.

Lets say the form(s) are completed by the end user, validation has been checked, no null fields. The end user wants to save a copy(with all data) of the COMPLETED (filled in) form for his records on the pc and also

print them.

How do I / Or Can I on the save as change the document properties

so that the doc can not be modified again in any app.

byw, if you can help with the validation thing... please do.

I started toying with Acrobat 6. Man, what a difference in v. 8 pro.

Thanks all

You can save it with all fields changed to Read-Only with javascript but it is a bit messy since you will have to explizitly make them write protected. And concerning saving, what program will the users run?

This is close to what we want to do...We want to change the entire document (field by field if we have to) to read only when the document is printed. We also need to force a Save after print so the document is forever read-only. Can you help. We are new to JavaScript so a code example to get us started would be appreciated.
