I'd be interested to know what other livecycle users do to monitor their Java instance. At the moment we use this nagios plugin to monitor the logfiles:-
/usr/local/lib/nagios/plugins/check_logfiles --logfile=/opt/jboss_4.2.0/server/production/log/server.log --criticalpattern='Duplicate entry|too many open files|SEVERE' --warningpattern='ERROR'
I'm currently implementing munins java plugins jar to monitor the jvm running jboss too.
