LiveCycle and LDAP Referrals

Are there any known workarounds, patches, or other methods available (short of completely changing our A.D. environment) to allow LiveCycle to properly communicate with our Active Directory environment?



Our Active Directory environment is set up to use referrals. According to Adobe documentation, LiveCycle does not support LDAP referrals.



When we attempt to use the LDAP Search QPAC in Workflow, we receive "Unprocessed Continuation Reference" errors which research reveals to be related to LDAP referrals.

well, LDAP QPAC kind of...
sucks no fun. Honestly, in release 7.0572 things improved quite a lot.

Thanks so much for your reply, Steve. We are using release 7.0572 and are still seeing the issues described in my original post. We have consumed the posts you listed as well.



Other research indicates that the type of integration we seek is just not possible. The issue of LiveCycle not supporting LDAP referrals and the common use of referrals within an Active Directory does not have a solution currently.

Please log this issue with support.

Also, can you please post the exact error message and stack trace you are getting, and we'll have a look into it.

Also, can you please confirm whether you are having problem with:

a) LDAP synchronization

b) LDAP QPAC

c) both of the above.
