Limit length of numeirc fields

hi :)



i want to limit the length of a numeric fields to 10 characters, but i dont want those little "comb" squares to show up. is there a way to get rid of them? or maybe put a limit on that field another way?

You could put 10 digits in the field as a default value and use the limit to visible area so that the user can only put 10 chars in.



Or you could use a text field (limit it to 10) and put your own validations on to ensure that only numbers are entered.



I woudl report this one to support and ask for an enhancement.

thanks, though it seems the "limit to visible area" option does not work for numeric fields at all :(
