Howto put the date a document was created in the document

Hi,

I want to create a field that contains the date that the document was created. I want to use this on a letter. Problem is that the date() function on an interactive form always gives the current date. So when the document is opened later, it does not have the original value.

The properties are available under the form properties, but I don't know how to access them in script.

Anyone who can give me a hand ?

Regards,
