How to calculate difference in time.

Hello,



I have 2 time fields where users enter check in and check out time. I need to calculate the net working time. I tried by simply inserting a subtraction formula ( as one can do in MS excel) to calculate the net working hours and it works as long as the time is defined as a full hour (i.e. 19 hours or 21 hours), but the moment one enter hours and minutes, the formula calculates wrong results.



Any solution or trick to the above problem? Thanks in advance

Go into object tab and then field tab, go down and see display pattern. change the pattern so that it shows 9,999.99
