Error 435

I've deployed to AIX for an initial look see. The installation seemed to go well but when I navigate to the UI, I keep getting an error 435 login information is missing.



I'm going to uninstall everything and start over. There was a set of simple instructions provided by Chris Tsunami, I believe, for a Windows install. Is there a similar set of steps you can provide for an AIX installation?



Can you discuss whether LDAP is required and what gotchas there might be?



This is going into Websphere 5.1.1 on AIX.

The steps I had listed were for a JBoss install. A WebSphere install is much more involved and complicated. It really wouldn't be possible to post a simple list of steps like I did before. My best advice would be to follow the steps in the install guide very carefully.



In order to authenticate into the web client it needs to be set up to authenticate against something. I believe the install guide cover setting it up against LDAP, but you could also set it up in Websphere to authenticate against a local OS account. So no, LDAP isn't 100% necessary, but it's probably recommended.



If you're still having trouble after reinstalling, you can try posting the stack trace from the log file here, or you could open a case with support if you have a maintenance plan or an AEDP membership.

I've re-installed and am still running into the same problem. I've included the results from the SystemOut.log file below. The last error in the log shows an attempt by me to enable Global Security.



The apps and modules all appear to be running, but, as you can see from the log, there are a lot of errors as they are started by WAS.



If posting the log like this is not appropriate please let me know. If formally opening a ticket is required just say so.
