Hello

I would like to populate a second (and if possible a third) drop down list based on chosen selections from a first drop down list.

This is the holy grail for for project so any help is great!

Hi Brad,

Were you able to figure out how to get the third drop down list populated based on chosen selection from the first drop down list?

Thank you.

Thom Parker wrote Programming List and Combo fields in Acrobat and LiveCycle forms Part 1, http://www.acrobatusers.com/tutorials/2007/js_list_combo_livecycle/, and Part 2, http://www.acrobatusers.com/tutorials/2007/10/list_and_combo_in_lc/ , Part 1 should cover what you want.

Geo,

Thank you so much for responding! My form has a vascular test drop down menu and a diagnosis drop down menu. The criteria is that for each "test" ordered, there must be at least one diagnosis but only up to 4 diagnoses; and only 3 tests can be ordered.

I've looked at that before, and was able to get it to work, however in Thom Parker's example, let's say I choose "clutch" in the "Assembly" column and then in the "Part" column I choose "Plate 1" What if I want to also choose "Plate 2" but I don't want to have to choose "Clutch" again?

Using Thom Parker's example, my "add" button will add the row along with the populated information. however,
I want to add a SECOND button, such that I can choose the second "part" without having to select the "Assembly" again. (so that is where I'm stuck at) I need both "add" buttons to be there.

I'm sorry if I have completely lost you. :(

Thank you in advance for your help!
