Change "Required" Look

I have looked through the forums for anything on changing the look to "Required" fields. I would like to modify the look when "Required" is selected under Object-Value-Type. What is displayed now is a red bold line around the field (text box). Can this be altered or substituted with something else?

You can change the colour in the Acrobat/Reader preferences Forms section.

Paul - Thank you. Is there any way to change thickness of the line for required? I want to make it a bit thinner.
