Call plugin from Javascript

Is there a way to call a plugin from javascript? I tired something with execMenuItem but it doesn't work and it is not exactly what I'm looking for

How would you call it from an AcroForm?

I worked out how to invoke menu item, but still I cannot pass parameters to my plugin. Is this possible?
