AEM Mobile is a service to build content-based applications for use cases such as sales enablement, news and marketing or training applications. A license is required to use this service.

Our Mobile SDKs can be placed in any application that you have developed. There is no associated license fee. Our latest generation of the Mobile SDK is referred to as the Adobe Experience Platform SDK, while our previous generation of the Mobile SDK was sometimes referred to as the Adobe Anytics SDK or the Marketing oud SDK.

Information on getting started with our SDKs can be found here: http://SDKdocs.com

Thank you for your reply. Well understood.

Finally, it would be great if you kindly let me know whether we need an Adobe Campaign license in case an app where Adobe Experience Platform SDK is placed needs to push notifications, although there is no assoicated license fee for AEP SDK.

Mnay thanks and regards,

You are correct. See below for some additional information

If you are using the Adobe Experience Platform SDK and you want to send push notifications to the app, there are a few options:

1) You can license Adobe Campaign Classic (supports push notifications only) or Adobe Campaign Standard (support push notifications and in-app messaging).

2) If you have previously licensed the Mobile Marketing add-on for Adobe Analytics you may be able to use our upcoming Mobile Services extension to send push notifications to your app.

3) You could use a 3rd party vendor for push notification and work with the vendor to build an extension for the Adobe Experience Platform Mobile SDK to share data such as ECID and lifecycle metrics.

Thank you, Ivan.

Well noted.

Would appreciate if you kindly clarify "upcoming Mobile Services extension" mentioned in Option 2), please.

Is the extension different from Mobile Core extension?

Or is the extension a successor of either https://aemmobile.adobe.com/  or Adobe Mobile Services ?

Many thanks and best regards,
