Enhance Library Definitions with Comments

We LOVE the idea of libraries.  The ability to create one, add related rules to it and then promote them as a group is a big plus for Launch.

I envision creating libraries named after the JIRA story that requests the work.  Again, a huge step  in being able to track requirements through implementation.

It would be great if there was a comment field available at the library level similar to what we have for rules.  That way, more detailed information about what is in the library can be added.  Something as simple as a link to the JIRA story or more complex like a full explanation of what work is being done there.  Think of it like how you add a comment to a PR in Git.

The notes feature is on the roadmap.  Right now it looks like late Q1, early Q2 2018.  We consider this item as required to have Launch hit feature parity with DTM.

Hi Ben,

On the note feature, have you considered integration with Jira/Atlas? So that you can actually directly link or get info from the Jira you are working on when doing updates in Launch?

It's a good idea, but it's not on the near-term roadmap.  We have had a couple customers say that they were going to name their libraries with JIRA ticket numbers, but we don't have any real API-level integrations planned.

Adding the Jira ticket numbers to the comments in DTM is what's been done by several of my customers; but being able to get actual link and ticket title would really bring value. You could also imagine having to enter Jira ticket as a requirement before submitting a new library, as it would improve accountability and proper documentation of the implementation.
