Apple rejecting app due to use of iBeacon functionality

Apple has recently started to reject one of our apps with:

"During our review, we found that your app uses iBeacons. If your app does not have iBeacon functionality, it would be appropriate to remove iBeacons from your binary and resubmit your app for review."

We do not use iBeacon functionality and our app doesn't run in the background (our app's plist has "Application does not run in background=YES"). We do however link with AdobeMobileLibrary.a (we're currently using version 4.1.2) and, from what I can tell, that is using (or can use) iBeacon functionality. I'm speculating, perhaps incorrectly, that this is what is making Apple unhappy...? We've been getting warnings about this issue for several months now but this is the first time Apple has started to reject us.

Is this a known (new?) issue and any suggestions on how to work around this?

Thanks!

Mike
