Issue:
After installation of Windows Update KB2984006 (http://support.microsoft.com/kb/2984006), the ImageServer.exe, ImageInfo.exe and ic.exe programs crash when attempting to install or start AEM. Uninstalling KB2984006 fixes the crash.

Are you using dynamic media? If not disable it will fix the issue.
