There is a hotfix deployed on our CQ5.6.1 instance which is just uploaded; and not installed . The description mentions --
CQ to handle nodes without jcr:content
What purpose does this hotfix serve? Does the hotfix re-create nodes for the pages whose jcr:content nodes are missing; or does it allows the pages without jcr:content nodes to work without error?
Thanks

Hi smacdonald2008
I checked the list; but there is no information for 3556 hot fix. Was this hotfix replaced or taken back; or is there any other hotfix for missing jcr:content nodes? Checked the help doc but there was no fix for missing jcr:content node.
Thanks

You should never have pages without jcr:content. If you have such pages you need to fix the issue ([1] might help to find such pages) either at your template etc... AFAIK Hotfix will not create the missing node.. However what hotfix does is it handles missing jcr:content so that none of SiteAdmin functionality breaks like disable of buttons etc..
