Restricting my custom components until the column control is dragged on the parsys

I have list of text, image, banner, carousel, etc. components in my project.

I need to restrict all these components until the column control is added on to the parsys in the page.

How to enforce this restriction.

Kindly let me know.

Note: I could achieve the same in authoring at design level but I want to achieve as soon as the page is loaded.

There is no OOTB way to do  this. You should consider moving to Editable Templates with AEM as that reflects best practice. Also - with policies, you can control which components an author has access to on a given page. If you are not familiar with Editable Templates - watch - Scott's Digital Community: Guided Journey for Experience Manager on Editable Templates

Are you using Static or Editable templates? If you are using Editable Templates, this is controlled by policies. Editable templates represent best practice.

We did change into editable templates and achieved the same via policies.

Thanks for your thoughts. Cheers !
