Setting Page References

Hi guys,

I'm back. I'm close to tearing my hair out trying to find a simple explanation to add Page references in AEM. The documentation only provides how you can view Page references in AEM and how you can undo "add/remove" Page references, but nothing on how Page references are established or created.

This is asked in relation to publishing/unpublishing Pages on my Author server.

Thanks,

Ali

All that page Reference does is to inform me what other pages in AEM have links to the current page. For example - in geometrixx/en/toolbar/feedback.html - i made a link to Contacts:

Now Feedback links to Contacts.

From the Contacts page - i can see that relationship using Show References:

Are you asking how to create a link (reference) to another AEM page?

Hi Scott,

I may be, I'm not sure. What is the criteria for a "Page reference" ? For example, what do I need to set or do that a Page will show up in "Page References" in the Sidekick?

'Page Reference' just lists all the links which refers to the current page URL.

Ex: if you goto '/content/geometrixx-outdoors/en.html' and check on page reference it lists quite a few content or pages in which the reference for that page is made (means mentioned '/content/geometrixx-outdoors/en.html' in the content). You can click on each of them to verify how they have referred to that page.

Hope that explains !

Lokesh

Thank you! I just wish this simple explanation of Page references was in the documentation.
