SOLVED

regarding personalization of teasers

Hi All,

I want to create a very simple campaign with personalized teasers based on segments - male/female. I tried following steps but somehow teaser image doesn't appear and shows "No active campaign target this teaser".

1. Created a brand.

2. Created a campaign under brand.

3. Created two experiences under campaign i.e. exp1 and exp2.

4. Created two teaser pages under exp1 and exp2 i.e. exp1 -> teaser1 and for exp2 -> teaser 2.

5. On both the teaser pages, I have dropped the image component for male and female respectively.

5. Have assigned segmentation to both experiences and teasers. For eg. for exp1 and teaser1 assigned 'male' and for exp2 and teaser 2 assigned 'female'

6. Created a page under some site and dragged personalization/teaser component on the parsys and provided the details like Location name, campaign path and strategy (First).

Now as per my understanding, the image referred in teaser should appear and should change as per client context - user changes. But this doesn't happen. Even I have also tried creating teaser pages directly under campaign (i.e. with no experience) but still the same result. I am working on AEM 6.0 version with no service packs installed.

Would appreciate if someone could figure out the issue and validate the above steps.

Thanks,

Anurag

Seems like you are missing some mapping.  What i suggest is create a campaign & segment (since in you sample using oob segment might not required to create), then for experience everything just make use of authoring so that mapping will be right.  Watch the demp i gave for other threads at [1] where i am using different custom segment but you will get a idea & will work.

Here is the official AEM documenation on this subject:

https://docs.adobe.com/docs/en/aem/6-0/author/personalization/campaigns.html

Here is a great youtube video on this subject:

CQ5 Personalization with Dan Klco

Hi,

Thanks for your reply but I already gone through these video and the link, that is the reason I posted the steps.

Infact, I went through the documentation on the previous CQ5 versions and tried those steps but unfortunately none of them are working.

I hope if someone could validate the steps that I followed or highlight what I might be missing, that would certainly help.

Regards,

Anurag

You followed the AEM documentation and it did not work? If this is the case - please open a ticket against the docs here:

Hi Team,

I am facing the issue. getting "No active campaigns target this teaser"  following below steps.

i am using AEM 6.1

want to create a very simple campaign with personalized teasers based on segments - male/female. I tried following steps but somehow teaser image doesn't appear and shows "No active campaign target this teaser".

1. Created a brand.

2. Created a campaign under brand.

3. Created two experiences under campaign i.e. exp1 and exp2.

4. Created two teaser pages under exp1 and exp2 i.e. exp1 -> teaser1 and for exp2 -> teaser 2.

5. On both the offer pages, I have dropped the image component for male and female respectively.

5. Have assigned segmentation to both experiences and teasers. For eg. for exp1 and offer1 assigned 'male' and for exp2 and offer 2 assigned 'female'

6. Created a page under some site and dragged personalization/teaser component on the parsys and provided the details like Location name, campaign path and strategy (First).

Now as per my understanding, the image referred in teaser should appear and should change as per client context - user changes. But this doesn't happen.
