Content Migration Approches

Hi Experts,

  We are facing difficulties with migrating content from Production to lower regions. We have a huge AEM content which serves 100+ markets and has MultiSite Management in place.

But for development and other related activities, it will be of great help if we can sync content in production with lower regions like UAT or Integration.

We want this sync process to have minimal manual activity.

I could think one process wherein a package will be created for one market and that will be dropped in Amazon S3 buckets which developers can access and take packages. But not sure if this is optimal.

I felt it would be better to get inputs of AEM community before concluding an approach. Awaiting your suggestions.

Hey Jai,

Is this content migration one time job or a recurring one ?

You can look into approaches like VLT or Grabbit where you can schedule a job to sync the content from one environment to the other.

Also, another approach would be to rely on crx2Oak to just move the content when the system is offline by using suitable parameters in the migration command. See Using the CRX2Oak Migration Tool for more info
