AEM 6.5 forms not working on Chrome

Avatar

Level 1

We just migrated our native forms from ES4 to AEM 6.5. Recently, heard the news that IE is not going be supported later in 2021. Until now we have been using IE and IE plugin on Chrome. Since IE is not available, how can the forms work on Chrome or Edge

Any feedback would be greatly appreciated, thanks!

Praveen, Our administrator has downloaded IE Tab as an extension - version 13.10.27.1 which seems to work for our Chrome users. I am hoping there is similar extension that would work on Edge??

IE Tab exactly emulates IE by using the IE rendering engine directly within Chrome.

Now if IE is not supported we dont have to validate IE compatibility.

Now Edge does not ship with legacy compatibility, so I dont think any extension is available in chrome to simulate Edge.

So unfortunatly you need to test in Edge only.

Praveen, this is the message I get on Edge when trying to open our application - "The document you are trying to load requires Adobe Reader 8 or higher. You may not have the Adobe Reader installed or your viewing environment may not be properly configured to use Adobe Reader. For information on how to install Adobe Reader and configure your viewing environment please see http://www.adobe.com/go/pdf_forms_configure" Any reason why the AEM forms would work on IE and not on Edge.
