Publish Instance

Avatar

Level 3

Hi,

When I am done with creating a project on author console I am not able to push changes publishing/directly to publish instance, when I installed my project package on publish instance, then I was able to see the changes on publish instance.

Do we need to always do this or I am missing out something??

Thanks,

Heena

Can you check the test connection of Default Agent (publish) agent configured on author instance? Do you see a 200 response?

This agent replicates content to the default publish instance.
Details of this (configuration and logs) can be accessed from the Tools console of the author environment; or:
http://localhost:4502/etc/replication/agents.author/publish.html.

- Check if the agent is enabled and under transport tab, URI is pointing correctly to the port of the publisher instance.

- Share the replication log via the "View Log" Link and confirm when the last replication attempt was successful.

Also try refreshing the queue and see if the queue is moving or not? Are there any blocked items in the queue? If yes, try clearing top 2-3 blocked items and check if the items are moving. Refer [1] for more info.

Hi @Heena06

Have you set up the replication agent? Replication agent is responsible for publishing content from author to publisher.

Please do configure the replication agents and verify if the connection is success. After your issue should be resolved.

Check out the below thread which explains about replication and you can find documentation link as well.

Hi,

I assume you have set the replication agent.

Could you please go to miscadmin and check if replication is working using test connection.

If that works then try replicating the content from aauhtor to publish.

If still doesnt work please check the logs and share with us.
