Mails triggered from AEM workflow is receiving very late

Hi,

    We have configured AWS in our Day CQ Mail Service in our Publish Instance for sending emails for registration process. Whenever we tried to register a new user (from the dispatcher), emails are getting delivered very late (say 4 to 5 hours even for gmail). 

As per the link (https://docs.adobe.com/docs/en/aem/6-0/administer/operations/notification.html) we have setup the configuration.

Also, please suggest where we need to configure the CQ Mail Service (in Author or in Publish) as best practices, Thanks.

Hi,

have you figured out where the delay is? Can you detect: 

  • When the registration event that is meant to trigger an email occurred
  • When the email was sent to the mail server
  • When the mail was processed by the mail server and sent

I am not aware on how to check the email sent time & processed by the mail server. Please let me know on how to verify the same, Thanks.
