Looks like AEM RedirectFilter doesn't use WURFL database by default when "cq:deviceIdentificationMode" is set to "server-side"

Does AEM Mobile RedirectFilter uses WURFL database by default for device detection and redirection or does it use only the Devices(created as emulators) and the DeviceGroups created and mapped to the root page of mobile website when "cq:deviceIdentificationMode" property set to "server-side". When I analyzed "geometrixx_mobile" site, I didn't see any usage of WURFL database though it is available in AEM. The behaviour is same with and without (when I removed devices data from WURFL xml) WURFL database.
If AEM is not using WURFL database by default then what are the changes that I need to do to use it say for example "geometrixx_mobile" website itself.

Hi Scott, I am following the article [1], for this. Also I am trying to understand its behaviour from logs, and wurfl, device, devicegroups data in CRX nodes.
