Is there a way to repeat a field in dialog without using a multifield component?

I have a component containing 2 fields: a drop down and a RTE. The drop down has numbers 1-4. If I select 3 the I need the RTE field to display three times in the dialog. Is there a way to make it happen without using the multifield? Aem 6.4
