Is it possible to render progressive images to progressive .jpeg images?

Hello,

I am using CQ 6.2,

I am trying to create a workflow(using JAVA) to create dynamic rendition of DAM uploaded images to custom width and height.

I am able to create a JPEG images through workflow,but is it possible ,to render progressive JPEG images ,without lossing its progressive property.

I have been struggling with this for a while now, so any ideas would be welcome.

Does the workflow produce the image that has the specified height and width?
