Index related query in AEM 6.2

Hi All,

Query as below :

From what I understand, Lucene indexes will present in crx-quickstart along with the content.

1] So, everytime some sort of querying happens in repository, this index folder will continue to grow, correct?

2] Do, we have some sort of maintenance job that is present as part of OOTB feature, which can be run at periodic intervals?

3] If the answer to above is no, how is this handled?

Any thoughts/pointers/reference on the above will be helpful.
