How to start workflow with arguments?

Hello,

I need to start workflow with arguments.

For example I would like to skip some parts of workflow. OR SPLIT will check for this argument and will define skip or not some processes.

Is there a way to run workflow with custom popup?

For now I see only one way. Implement custom button which will render popup and run workflow programmatically.

I checked with our Workflow Eng team - this was the reply: 

"There is no way out of the box to do this.  They would need to do as he suggests, implement some custom UI somewhere that captures the required values and add them as metadata to the workflow when starting it."
