How to set OPV(on-parent-version status) for a property?

Is there any way to set OPV for a property to be added on cq:PageContent node. By default it is "COPY", as mentioned below :

I  want to set it as "IGNORE".

I am not sure why you are doing this and what will be  the impact if you'll change this but node types are define in cnd files. For PageContent you need to update /libs/cq/commons/nodetypes/core.cnd

for reference you can check /libs/cq/core/nodetypes/replication.cnd

My use case is to add some properties on cq:PageContent that can't get copies when someone copy the page from site admin.

I added that property with OPV "IGNORE" for this node type programmatically, but it's not seem to be working. After coping the page I can see the property is still getting copied.

You probably need to do it by package manager.

if doesn't work check CQ doesn't pick up nodetypes.cnd changes using Package Manager

I am able to add the property in crx explorer for cq:PageContent. Problem is that even after adding the property with OPV "IGNORE", it's getting copied.
