How to enable Request Publication for Assets to Author? How to trigger request_for_activation workflow for assets other than starting manually?

Hello Team,

Request Publication is for the authors who does not have permission to publish and goes through request_for_activation workflow.

By giving the necessary permissions in the /etc/workflow/instances to the author, I saw the author got the RequestPublication for CQ pages.

For CQ pages, once I do the RequestPublication, it goes through the request_for_activation workflow.

For assets, Request for Publication menu is not showing up. When i look into request_for_activation workflow, it has the step Activate Page/Asset.

We can always trigger the workflow manually but

Starting them manually is best practice. You have started it works - correct. What is the issue?
