How to add choices to dropdowns based on Rules on AEM 6.4.2

Hi,

I have implemented a metadata in AEM6.4.0 on my local machine that contains some dropdowns where choices are based on some rules.

AEM provides this functionality Out of The Box.But as I login to the development environment i.e. at AEM 6.4.2, I cannot see the option to add choices based on rules. Is it a defect in AEM or is there any specific reason for this.

One thing to note is that if I replicate the default schema and edit that, the dropdowns already present show this functionality, but if I add a new dropdown, the same is not available.

Bumping this as I have the same question!

Keen to maintain some integrity for our assets/pages by restricting filename conventions by enforcing rules. Seems to be no option to define new rules?

I found a solution to this. If we remove the JSON path from the drop down and add the choices manually, we are able to add choices based on several rules.
