Date mismatch in error.log

Hi All,

Our server in US datacenter and showing time in EST format. When we are working on an issue , we found cron is not trigerring from author. While checking logs we can able to see error.log is showing some different time .

for ex: Us server time zone is 3:30 EST

But in error.log if we tail the logs , we can able to see time as 7:35 . Not sure how this happened  . Access and request log is showing correct time as 7:35 .

Bit confused and it is more strange issue we faced now.

This issue in AEM 6.1 author and puiblisher 1 . All is working fine in Publisher 2 . (error log format is as same as Server time)..

Please assist.

We use jdk configured time. It should be consistent across all logs.  Difference in OS time Vs Log Time can be answerable.   File a support case with reproducible steps.

AS, mentioned by Sham, please create a support ticket for this.

//In the start up script pass the JVM  param -Duser.timezone with the value you want

Both, answer were given by Sham.
