Creating custom widget in metadata schema

Avatar

Hi All

I need to create a custom multi field widget in a metadata schema which allows user to choose a language from a drop down list and add a corresponding title for the language in the text box. With every language selected a text box should appear.

If anyone can suggest the approach, it will be helpful.

I am not aware of any docs for this use case. I will search internally to see.

This would provide an idea on how to code for your custom requirements -  Experiencing Adobe Experience Manager - Day CQ: AEM 62 - Add Multifield to Assets Metadata Schema Ed...

Ignore the fact that its 6.2, you can convert the specifics to 6.3/6.4 per your use case.

Hi Gaurav

The post that you shared is having an approach to add a field that is existing in foundation form elements. I need to create a custom field in my case, so I guess I need to create a new form field in the path /libs/dam/gui/coral/components/admin/schemaforms/formbuilder/formfields.But not sure if that is the right way.

You should overlay /libs/dam/gui/coral/components/admin/schemaforms/formbuilder/formfields to /apps & create/add your custom form fields to existing list
