Can't reset a Landing Page

Avatar

Hi,

I am looking at the Landing Page functionalities in 6.1. According to the documentation (http://docs.adobe.com/docs/en/aem/6-1/author/personalization/campaigns/landingpages.html) you can reset an existing landing page by clearing the page, opting to keep content changes that you've already made. When I try this on a Vanilla 6.1 instance, jcr:content/importer/canvas is kept with all the imported elements but when I upload a new design an additional jcr:content/importer/canvas0 is created and the landing page is not populated but comes up empty with the upload icon on it. I see that the actual zip file is not being updated as well (jcr:content/importer/designpackage). There is nothing coming up in the error log.

Does this work for anyone? Anything I need to do to make this work?

Thanks for any help,

Alex

Hi Doeringa

Please have a look at following:-

------------------------------------------------

RESETTING A LANDING PAGE

------------------------------------------------

In case you want to re-import your landing page design package after making some changes to it, you can "clear" the landing page by clicking Clear at the top of the landing page. Doing so deletes the imported landing page and creates a blank landing page.

While clearing the landing page, you can remove the content changes. If you click No, then the content changes are preserved, that is, the structure under jcr:content/canvas is preserved and only the canvas component and the resources in etc/design are removed. Whereas, if you click Yes, the jcr:content/canvas is also removed.

Note: - If you decide to remove the content changes, then all the changes that you made on the imported landing page as well as all page properties are lost when you click Clear.

For More information please refer to the link: - https://docs.adobe.com/docs/en/cq/5-6-1/wcm/campaigns/landingpages.html#Resetting%20a%20landing%20pa...

I hope this will help you.

Thanks and Regards

Hi Kautuk,

As mentioned, I have tried this according to the documentation. The link that I posted has the same content as your link, only that it's under a 6.1 url.

Problem is that I can't get the re-import to work. Is this working for you?

Thanks,

Alex

Yup. I've created a ticket a couple of weeks ago and it has been declared a bug.
