Good day, we are currently running aem 6.0 with angular js (1.x) and would like to migrate to 6.3 with angular 5+.

I'd like to ask if you have implemented the above - mainly around angular 5 or any modern component driver framework, if you could share your stack and implementation or if there are any solid resources.

Would be very helpful and thank you.

I am checking to see if there are any doc or samples with 5. I know there is Ang 2 -- Adobe Experience Manager Help | Integrating the Angular 2 Framework into Adobe Experience Manager

Using Ang 5 (and its component behaviour) is not best practice when using AEM. To build AEM Sites/Components - it much better to use Editable Templates, set template policies create HTL components  and use front end libs like Bootstrap and even JQuery.
