AEM WebDav Access

Avatar

Hi,

I am using AEM 6.1 and Windows 8.OS 64 bit.

I need to upload some images, fonts, etc into AEM on to different folders.

Tried to look at public documentation on setting up and using Webdav with AEM , but I see that info is fragmented and unclear.

WebDav is a protocol and not a tool and there are some tools that are WebDav compliant right?

Could you please offer me a step by step tutorial of starting with any one such free tool and installing, integrating with AEM and uploading a couple of documents to test the connection?

Appreciate your help.

Thanks,

Rama.

Hi

Please have a look at this community article :- http://www.aemcq5tutorials.com/tutorials/aem-webdav-upload-file-cq-server-windows7/

//covering step by step procedure.

Else

You can use WinSCP server, You just need to provide IP,Port, User name, and password. Then you can add remove anything from AEM.

I hope this would help you.

Thanks and Regards

Hi,

Before posting this question, I already searched this forum and got this link.

http://www.netdrive.net/ talks about a tool NetDrive, that is Webdav compliant.

I could download it and install on my machine.

But the aem procedure to configure Webdav access talks about making some registry changes, which are a little dangerous.

So, using any tool, say NetDrive, is there a step by step procedure of installing, configuring AEM connection and testing uploading a few pages, end to end?

As I remarked, the procedure is scattered and does not offer a complete picture of job on hand.

Thanks,

Rama.

Hi,

Netdrive is not working on my laptop and I discovered that the installable is for 32 bit and my machine is 64 bits.

I also read that 64 bit version does not exist and the 32 bit one does not work for 64 bit machines.

But WinSCP worked like a magic and I am able to upload some files in to AEM from my windows explorer.

We also have to select "WebDav" in the protocol drop down, apart from providing IP,Port, User name, and password.

Appreciate the efforts of all, who have replied to my query

Thanks,.

Rama.
