AEM communities: Junk character when double space or double enter is entered

Hi,

Need help to solve the below issue in AEM communities.

When double space or double is entered in rte editor, junk character (?) displays. This issues appears while  copy pasting the text as well.

But this issue is not there in OOTB community components page.

Please let me know if anything to look for to address this issue.

Are you checking through web server Or hitting publish instance directly?   Also is it happing for custom component?

Tried by hitting individual publishers as well as through web servers. Issue doesn't occur when tested via community components page, but when its used in one of our application, this issue appears all the time.

checking the encoding settings in your application.

Have set the encoding to UTF-8 as well. Its same as in community components. But still getting the junk character for an extra space or extra line break.

One Observation seen here is response header for "......social.json" not setting to UTF-8 while submitting the Blog or QnA. Any suggestion for this will help.
