AEM 6.2 with IBM WCS - store is getting deleted in WCS after product import

I'm trying to integrate AEM 6.2 with IBM WCS 8, wherein I'm using the REST based API client to establish a connection.

I have configured the IP of my WCS instance & ran the product import utility for sample stores & also some custom stores created within my WCS instance.

The issue is the product importer runs absolutely fine & imports all the product data as JCR nodes, but the store is somehow getting deleted in WCS. Not sure what is the reason. 

Can anyone please suggest a remedy or a similar issue faced?

To clarify - when your AEM Rest-based service imports data from the IBM stack - the data on the IBM stack is deleted?

Yes. The IBM store content gets deleted after I run the importer.
