Trouble updating preflights in Windows App

This is just a general question to see if anyone else is experiencing problems getting the preflight option to work on Windows? It's working for my iOS apps just fine.

I'm running Windows 8.1 in a virtual machine using VMWare. My Mac is running OSX 10.11.1. It may just be an issue with VMWare and El Capitan.

What do you mean by "preflight option to work"? What are you trying to do, and what exactly isn't working?

I add content and hit the preflight button to preview the content but it doesn't refresh in the app.

How are you attempting to refresh the content in the app?

‌‌I've updated the content. Then I hit preflight and the update content notice appears on iOS and Windows, but the Windows content doesn't change (iOS updates both on phone and iPad).
