Issues with dynamic banners

Are there any known issues with dynamic banners on Android and Windows? I'm working on adding some that feature video content. Right now they work perfect on iOS but are completely broken (no content appears) on Android and Windows. I'm just curious if this is something that is already known or if I'm doing something wrong. Thanks.

Hi,

- Have you rebuilt the Windows and Android apps to the latest version ?

- How big is your video content ? Are using the same wifi connection as for iOS ?

The video play button will appear after it has been fully downloaded on the device, until then it won't show any content.

For Android, you can try to debug this by using the chrome://inspect/#devices (Get Started with Remote Debugging Android Devices  |  Web  |  Google Developers ), inspect the dynamic banner and see if you have any errors in the console.

I've been working on this for the last few days now and I've made a little progress. Dynamic banners still behave irregularly on a Samsung Galaxy Note 3 tablet. They'll sometimes partially load and when it's a video in the banner, it will load but it won't play full screen. If I press the 'make full screen' button it goes black (audio still present) and then when I press the back arrow the app crashes. This happens every time.

On Windows the dynamic banners aren't working at all. Nothing loads and sometimes they don't even appear as a blank card in the layout. It's really disappointing.

I have rebuilt the apps. I rebuilt them today.

The video is 10MB and yes it's on the same wifi connection as the iOS.

I noticed that you're right about the play button not appearing until the video is loaded. I've tried formatting the card to display an image until it loads the video but that's not working all the way either. I'm sure I'm just doing something wrong.

I'll work on troubleshooting in the console. Thanks! Any ideas for Windows?

Dynamic banners don't work on Windows, as it behaves as a normal banner.

We will work to implement this feature on Windows in our next releases.
