Content not being updated

Avatar

Level 4

Hi all - as I'm really getting into the nitty gritty of DPS 2015, moving articles and collections around, deleting this, adding that, my test app has stopped updating content. I've only got a few articles and collections to this app, but I just added a brand new collection with two articles to my default collection and my app is not updating the content at all. It doesn't even tell me there's an update available. Any feedback would be appreciated. Thanks.

Content is cached, so updates that you publish can take several minutes (I think up to 5) before the change is reflected in the app. It's not instantaneous.

no way to force a refresh? I find that a bit annoying. Sometimes the update shows up sometimes not…

If you build a preview app (check the box in the Apps tab when making the app, and click the preview button in the content dashboard) the cache time is, I think, 20 seconds, so it goes much faster. That's what I've been using.
