AEM Mobile Article creation

Hi,

We know that using article creation tool, we can create .article file with its manifest. This can be uploaded in AEMM. Is there a way we can create article from external application. Say I have a new on demand service where I am authoring article content. I will have to upload this article through On Demand API's. But how do I create article in my application as part of automated procedure.
