Relate and Unrelate option visibility

Request for Feature Enhancement (RFE) Summary:
 

Relate/Unrelate option visibility issue :

Scenarios:

1] Navigating to a folder and selecting one asset in CARD View:

2] Navigating to a folder and selecting one asset in LIST View:

3] Searching for an asset and selecting it in CARD view:

4] Searching for an asset and selecting it in LIST view:

5] Navigating to a folder and selecting multiple assets in CARD View:

6] Navigating to a folder and selecting multiple assets in LIST View:

7] Running a search and selecting multiple assets from the search results in CARD view:

8] Running a search and selecting multiple assets from the search results in LIST view:

 

Issues : 

-Relate/Unrelate option not visible for the scenario 3,4.

- Unrelate option not visible for scenario 5,6,7,8.

- Relate option not visible for scenario 7,8.
Use-case:

[1] Can we enable relate /unrelate option for single asset search?

[2] Can we enable unrelate option for multiple asset ?

[3] Can we enable relate option for searched selected assets?
Current/Experienced Behavior: Options not visible as mentioned in attached screenshot.
Improved/Expected Behavior: Can we make it consistent? Can we enable options?
Environment Details (AEM version/service pack, any other specifics if applicable): 6.5.5 (Same behaviour in 6.5.7)
Customer-name/Organization name: Hershey's

Code package (if applicable): You can check in vanilla instance of AEM.

Per the community guideline multiple requests/ideas should not be proposed in one entry. From what you have explained in the usecase section you need to at least submit one more entry for second usecase. So this existing idea will be kept for relate/unrelate options for searched asset(s). The explained behavior is seen in vanilla AEM so we will further look into this to verify if this is a feasible feature. We will update this thread once there is an update.

Please note that daily updates are not provided for proposed ideas (as opposed to a support case) due to the nature of required work and triage by product teams.

You should submit one more idea for the second idea as mentioned. The first and third both are about searched assets so they are related.

This request has been raised to the product team via the Jira CQ-4319883 i.e. for searched asset(s). The product team will triage this request to verify feasibility based on prioritization model. This post will be updated according to the Jira request status.
