Adaptive Forms RTE Paste Bug

Request for Feature Enhancement (RFE) Summary: The rich text editor clears content out if pasting content in while a table is present in the RTE.
Use-case: Improve user experience when building Adaptive Forms
Current/Experienced Behavior:

Steps to reproduce:

1. Create adaptive form.
2. Add "Text" component.
3. Click the pencil icon to change the bar to the edit bar.
4. Click the maximize icon to access the full wysiwyg editor.
5. Add a table with some data.
6. Paste some information into any part of the component.

The result I get is the table is removed. However, by clicking the undo button, the table appears again with the pasted content. It is almost like something extra is running after the paste that triggers the removal of the table and the editor sees that as another step that was taken by the user.

Improved/Expected Behavior: Pasting content should not remove existing content

Hi @BrianAltenhofel

This behavior looks more like a bug than a feature enhancement to me.
Did you already open a support ticket for Customer Support to investigate this?
It not, I would recommend to do that first

Thanks

@Cedric_Latimier_
We originally opened tickets through Adobe Support (E-000456906 and E-000390645). Adobe Premier Support confirmed that this is indeed a reproducible bug, but the Jira ticket (CQ-4332459) is low priority. Adobe Premier Support directed us to file here for a better chance of getting a bug prioritized and fixed.

@BrianAltenhofel
I reviewed the 2 tickets you mention but I couldn't see where the support engineer redirected you here
In any case, this is not correct. This forum is to propose Feature enhancements only and not to address bugs

From the JIRA reference, I can see that this has been indeed deferred by the engineering team due to low priority
If you need this to be fixed in a timely manner, I would recommend you ask for the same in the support ticket, and provide a business impact - in term of loss of revenue, loss of productivity - that would be impactful enough to help with the prioritization of the issue

Thanks

Thanks. I'll let the Adobe Premier Support account Customer Success Engineer that directed us this way know they were mistaken about the process.
