Upload an asset from siteadmin vs damadmin

Uploading an image from site admin vs dam admin does not have any differences. But is it recommended to upload images from siteadmin view? If not, why ?

Uploading an image from site admin vs dam admin does not have any differences?

          - Yes, it is same . As the image will get stored in same location in whatever way you upload it.

. But is it recommended to upload images from siteadmin view?If not, why ?

          - Always use damadmin for this , as that gives you more flexibility to handle your images . If you open your images via siteadmin , it will open it like below.

But via damadmin , you have more control over your images

Thanks Veena. But thats the post upload part, but no difference in uploading process I can see. It fires the same workflows and generates proper renditions etc. If author uses siteadmin view for uploading image, nothing really missed. Correct me if I am wrong.

There is no important difference. Most people still the damadmin - as shown by Veena.
