Relate SKUs to assets - best or recommended approach

Avatar

Level 4

Hi All, we are in process of implementing Assets and connecting to Hybris, where SKU pages will live and will link to AEM Assets for images, as part of an AEM 6.3 go live.

As part of the project we have re-shot all our SKU - level photography.

Our situation is that we have many SKUs that use a common image/asset, so naming conventions won't work for establishing, in AEM, what images are used for what SKUs.

I see in properties there is a Products tab, that looks to be populated via a Project...is there a way to associate one or more SKUs to an image there without having to do some work in an AEM Project, or should we consider listing SKU info in one of the schemata we can incorporate? Say, dublin core>subject?

What have others done for eComm SKUs? Thanks for any advice or observations in advance!

Best, Eugene
