Assets - Metadata Field reference to another asset

Is it possible to add an metadata field on Assets to create references to other assets in the repository?

Does anyone have already done something similar?

Yes,we can add the extra metadata in the dialog of the assets by overriding the DAM dialog and keep it under under apps level.

Do you want to achieve any functionality by having the references of other assets..?

Hi @mkumar,

But I was expecting to do that in the AEM Assets metadata form. There is no default component to allow to select another asset to create a reference to.

Is it possible to create a custom component to add in the asset editor?

This a function that the customer wants to have with the assets.
