In AEM 6.2 if I create an Asset Share using the Classic UI + DAM then the page created there immediately shows results.
However, if I create a new Asset Share page using the Geometrixx Demo Site's Asset Share template then it doesn't return any results, no matter what Paths I have configured. I followed the directions directly on this page Creating and Configuring Asset Share and Asset Editor pages and pointed it to existing Assets under Geometrixx to test them. Regardless of where I point the content I never get any results shown on the page itself. I've tried to view the page in both Classic UI and Touch UI and both do the same thing. I'm also not seeing anything fire to even perform the search if I add some Predicates on the side bar, for instance the Date one.
